2016 European Open an exceptional event when it comes to the event’s history. It was part of the Disc Golf World Tour and only MPO division was organized as was the case in all 2016 season events of the DGWT. European Open 2016 was also an A-tier event instead of a PDGA Major as usually. Only three-rounds were played as opposed to the usual four rounds in Majors and there was no cut for the final round.
