Salonen shreds The Beast - Round 2 recap

FPO round 2

Eveliina Salonen shot the hottest round so far on the FPO-side. Salonen took only one bogey and birdied 5 out of the last 11 holes and ended her round with an incredible score of -4! She is currently at a total score of +2, leading Paige Pierce by 8 throws. Catrina Allen and Kat Mertsch are right behind Pierce at a total of +11 after two rounds.

Can Salonen keep up the great pace and grow her lead even more? Don't miss out on the action and remember to watch the third round!

Salonen is leading by quite a large margin after first two rounds. Check out the full scoreboard here!

MPO round 2

Eagle McMahon and Paul McBeth kept the race going by shooting amazing bogey-free -12 rounds. McMahon is currently at a total score of -24 and McBeth just one stroke back at -23. They grew their lead to the rest of the players significantly, with Chandler Kramer being on 3rd place at a total score of -15. Kramer impressed everyone with his forehand shots, scoring 11 birdies and a single bogey on The Beast. Niklas Anttila played a solid -9 round which placed him 4th with a score of -15 after the first two rounds.

On hole 14, 361 feet / 110 meter long par 3, Linus Carlsson made an incredible ace and thus the first hole-in-one of the European Open 2022 has been thrown! Hopefully we will see more hole-in-ones during the last two rounds.

Nikko Locastro has been disqualified from the European Open 2022. You can read the PDGA's statement here.

Will McMahon and McBeth hold up on the third round with the possible rains and windy weather? Or will they falter and open the door for someone else? We will find out tomorrow! You can find tee times here and the spectator info here.

McMahon and McBeth are starting to separate themselves from the rest. Check out the full scoreboard here!
