The European Open started at The Beast -course in Nokia, Finland. Despite the occasional rainy weather, the world's best disc golfers attracted a large number of fans to The Beast to spectate the first round.
FPO
On the FPO side, the Estonians showed how to tame The Beast. You can find three Estonians on top of the leaderboard after the first round. Reigning World Champion Kristin Tattar shot the hot round of the day with a total score of -4. Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste is currently second after an even par round. Third place went to Teele Toomsalu with a +1 score.
The Finns did well during most of the round, but the last holes caused some difficulties. Henna Blomroos made it to the lead card with a score of +2.
MPO
Kyle Klein started his tournament strong by finishing the first round with a total of -10. Young Finns - Nestori Tuhkanen, Onni Arminen and Onni Ruusunen, share a tied second place together with Ezra Aderhold.
On the chase card you can find 5x European Open Champion Paul McBeth and last year's European Open Champion Eagle McMahon. The competition is extremely even as the first ten players are only two throws within each other.
