Shifting and score separation - Round 2 recap

The second round of the European Open was played in a sunny weather here at Nokia, Finland. We were pleased to see that even more disc golf fans came to The Beast compared to last year's round 2. An incredible total of 20 000 spectators are expected to come to spectate the 4-day European Open this year.

FPO

Kristin Tattar grew her lead even more by finishing her second round with a strong -6 round. She currently leads the field by an impressive 13 strokes.

Henna Blomroos and Missy Gannon are at a total score of +3 after two rounds. There is still an extremely tight battle for the podium as there are 15 players within 5 strokes from each other. Catrina Allen with a score of +4 is also at round 3's Lead Card.

MPO

On the MPO side, everyone from the Lead Card fell off on the leaderboard going into the round 3. Anthony Barela played the hot round of the day and tournament so far, a thundering -12. He is currently leading the MPO field by two strokes.

Albert Tamm and Eagle McMahon both played well during second round and they share a tied second place at a total score of -17. Rasmus Saukkoriipi shot a -11 round and is currently fourth with a -16 total.

There were also some surprisingly mediocre rounds played, as the leader after round 1, Kyle Klein, played a -3 round after yesterdays scorching -10. 5x European Open Champion Paul McBeth also fell down the leaderboard after he played an even par round. We are looking forward to seeing Kyle and Paul climb the leaderboard during the weekend.
